Black & Green Burger

TNT™ Top Burger Challenge Grand Prize Winner!

Andrew Casale, chef and event coordinator for the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minn., took home top honors and a check for $10,000 for his Black & Green Burger, a 5.3-ounce TNT™ beef patty topped with provolone cheese centered between two open-faced ciabatta bun halves spread alternately with black and green tapenade.

INSTANT CLASSICS
  • Deluxe All-American Burger

    This upscale version of the classic burger features bacon, smoked cheddar and fresh tomato slices.

    1. Grill, broil or sauté each TNT™ patty to desired doneness

    2. Top TNT™ patty with 1 ounce smoked cheddar cheese and place in bun

    3. Add 2 strips bacon, lettuce leaf, 2 slices tomato

  • Pickled Red Onion Burger

    A taste sensation with pickled red onions and Gruyére cheese on a toasted ciabatta roll with horseradish spread.

    1. Toast ciabatta rolls

    2. Place Gruyére cheese on the TNT™ patty to melt

    3. Layer rolls with horseradish spread, lettuce, pickled red onion rings and TNT™ patty

  • Portobello Burger

    Grilled Angus burger with portobello mushroom and smoked provolone.

    1. Grill balsamic-vinaigrette marinated portobello mushroom

    2. Place TNT™ patty on Kaiser rolls, ciabatta, onion rolls or focaccia

    3. Top with smoked provolone, sliced tomatoes, portobello mushroom, sliced red onion and arugula tossed with vinaigrette

    An open-faced burger layered with delicious flavors on a thick slice of toasted potato bread.

    1. Top TNT™ patty with fontina cheese

    2. Brush toasted potato bread with Dijon mustard

    3. Place burger on bread and top with Applewood smoked bacon and oven-dried tomatoes

    1. Heat barbeque sauce and Heinz ketchup

    2. Stir in molasses or honey

    Heinz ketchup and grape preserves. Great for kids.

    1. Heat Heinz ketchup

    2. Stir in grape preserves and add a shake of red chili sauce or hot sauce for a sweet, fruity glaze that is great on TNT™ turkey patties

  • Chipotle Ketchup

    Ketchup and chipotles in adobo sauce.

    1. Add the sauce and minced peppers from a can of chipotles in adobo sauce to Heinz ketchup

    2. Round out the smoky flavor with a splash of rice wine or apple cider vinegar and fresh cilantro

  • Smoked Ketchup

    Heinz ketchup and the addition of liquid smoke.

    1. Add diced roasted onion, diced roasted red pepper, diced smoked bacon bits and a dash of liquid smoke to Heinz ketchup

    2. Finish with a dollop of your favorite barbeque sauce

  • Double-stuffed Ketchup

    Heinz ketchup and sun-dried tomatoes.

    1. Heat Heinz ketchup

    2. Stir in grape preserves and add a shake of red chili sauce or hot sauce for a sweet, fruity glaze that is great on TNT™ turkey patties

    1. Cardamom, sweet cloves, white pepper and cinnamon, along with pieces of maple-smoked bacon bits, add a sophisticated and exotic flair to Heinz ketchup

Cook ground beef to a safe minimum internal temperature of 160° F.
